Premier 1.38D AC Conversion (Part 1)

In 1998 Very Luxury Sedans in india having ac at that time. Auto Makers Companies didn't give factory fitted they give choice for ac or non ac models and charged extra money for that.

I just change my mind i have to put air conditioning system in my 118 diesel because the hot cabin is not comfortable for me nd my family so i decided to source out its original factory fitted ac kit luckily I found Compressor, Condenser, Blower but blower was already fitted in my car so i spare one more blower for future if some bad happen to my running one. Now next task is to find out ac guy who already deal with that car in past so my searching was started and i found 2 guy who told me yes we will put ac inside it but before that i want to show him my car first. Next day i bring my car to the ac guy shop when they saw the car they said yes ac we will put but expense we didn't tell you just now because there may be some aftermarket fitments also to be done inside the car so first you have to put ac compressor bracket inside your car and pulley (double)you have to put inside it before putting air conditioning system as said by ac guy .I talked with my mechanic they said do you arrange double belt pulley or bracket was already there in your car so no need of bracket only fitment of pulley was important. So i decide to search original double sided pulley in scrapyard or shop owners who have little bit stock left with him .This is my luck i didn't found double sided pulley but i found same single sided pulley and my mechanic said we have to join him and make it double sided after listening those words i felt too relaxed because searching spares for 118 ne car becomes too hard nowadays. So after that we bring that pulleys on lathe shop and joined it and make it double sided belt pulley but there is one more problem of space is there in engine bay. First thing if i put condenser next to radiator the space was already acquired by condenser itself so where i put the radiator and have to maintain one more thing the space between fan and radiator otherwise possibility of collision between fan and radiator and nearby structures so we will completely remove the grill and put condenser inside the hollow spares behind the grill .Now the installation of condenser was successfully done now its turn for the radiator fitment we successfully fitted that too and maintain 2-3 cm gap between fan and radiator .Now its time to start the car to check the collision or any thing wrong happened in engine but when i starts the engine some strange sound was coming like something collide with something and create a non smooth sound so i suddenly stop the engine and saw near pulley there is bolts which are inside the pulley collide with timing gear so we take it out that pulley and remove that bolts and put small sized bolts. After fitments of small size bolts the collision gone and engine starting was very smooth.But suddenly collision sound comes again and that time i found its fan wing collide with pulley so i decide to cut fan blades slightly from outside and i did this and fit the fan blade and starts the engine now sounds gone and engine was smoother so now its time to bring car to ac guy so i will cover that fitments in next post.......
